Characteristics:
Increasing the skilled trade’s lab from 14,000 sq.ft. to nearly 27,000 sq.ft. and providing modifications to the existing lab. These modifications added high-tech equipment to create a “real world” training environment. This lab can now be a place for students to efficiently train to become highly skilled workers filling high wage positions with regional manufacturers. The lab mirrors the flexible manufacturing system, by doing so, students will have direct access to train on some of the most advanced industrial networking systems in Michigan. LCC can now tie together the specialties of mechatronics, machining, and welding for a true systems approach. This will allow LCC to deliver high-tech education and training with the most advanced automation components and technology that are commercially available today.
