The new 65,295 sq. ft. YMCA of Blue Water was part of an exciting new urban riverfront development in Port Huron. Wanting to take advantage of the dramatic riverfront views, the two-acre site required the use of deep foundations constructed on 90-ft concrete piles, supporting a concrete floor slab, as well as individual pool tubs.

The aquatic complex embodies the community’s needs and objectives by combining leisure areas and fitness/competitive swimming program spaces. The pool area includes: a 6-lane competition pool, a recreation pool, two slides, a lazy river, and a rotating vortex.
The YMCA also features: Duffy Wellness Center with cardio and weight training, multipurpose rooms, 1-1/2 court gym, group fitness area, outdoor play area and equipment, child care suite, preschool, a Men, Boys, Women, Girls and Family changing areas, office space, and a concessions area.
